About the Job
*Trains and supports staff with implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies in the classrooms of Soaring Heights Schools (SHS)
* Conducts FBAs
* Designs positive behavior support plans
* Analyzes and graphs behavioral data
* Trains and supports staff with implementation of behavior plans
* Designs behavioral data collection systems and trains staff on implementation of these systems
* Provides group trainings on various ABA methodologies to SHS staff
* Evaluates staff fidelity of ABA implementation
* Trains designated staff to perform FBAs
* Provides behavioral support to students and staff utilizing the behavioral skills training (BST) technique or components of this technique
* Assists with crisis intervention techniques
* Consults with contracted school districts to provide behavior support and recommendations as assigned
* Communicates effectively, timely and appropriately with all staff
* Works collaboratively with all staff
* Is present at the schools during school hours
* Complete Safety Care trainer training and train current/new staff
* Effecting positive therapeutic changes in students
* Delivering supportive interventions with students
* Establishing a trauma focused environment by educating staff and students on trauma informed approaches/interventions
* Providing individual and group sessions to students based upon areas of concern
* Developing and implementing IEP goals for social/emotional learning
* Document student success and concerns on IEP progress reports
* Collaborate with treatment team members both internally and externally to increase generalization across all environments
* Train and educate staff in areas of trauma, mental health disorders and clinical approaches to support students
* Attend trainings to increase knowledge in emotional support programming and professional growth
*Collect data, complete observations and assist with behavioral interventions and planning
* Other job responsibilities/duties as assigned
Education, Experience:
Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Ed., or related field with National Board Certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), and/or Pennsylvania Behavior Specialist Licensure. Minimum 2 years of experience in behavioral consulting to public or private schools. FBA certified in PA preferred. Extensive knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis and supportive behavioral teaching technologies and curriculum. Experience in training staff and parents and working with a diverse team.
