Serves on the Fairfax-Falls Church CSB’s Intensive Case Management (ICM) Team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment providing services to adults with serious mental illness and co-occurring disorders. The team provides comprehensive services that include intensive case management, crisis intervention and stabilization as well as assistance with obtaining and maintaining entitlements, resources, and services to meet basic needs. The team includes a nurse, psychiatrist, senior clinician, supervisor, and behavioral health therapists/case managers. The team provides engagement and treatment services in a variety of community settings such as homes, shelters, employment sites, jails, and hospitals. Intensive case management services are highlighted by a strong emphasis on recovery, advocacy, empowerment, and partnership. The team is driven by a commitment to help individuals assume responsibility for their recovery by independently managing all aspects of their lives to maintain community tenure.

Employment Standards
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, nursing, counseling, or a related field, plus 1,500 hours of clinical experience;
OR a bachelor’s degree and a valid QMHP certification plus 1,500 hours of clinical experience;
OR a master’s degree in psychology, social work, nursing, counseling, or a related field plus 500 hours of clinical experience.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, a Child Protective Services Registry check, a driving record check, and sanction screening to the satisfaction of the employer. A TB screening upon hire and annually thereafter.
This position is emergency/essential services personnel. (Required to report for duty during inclement weather and/or other emergencies.)

Ability to drive a car and conduct out of office visits in homes, hospitals, jails, shelters, or outdoors; communicate with clients and coworkers; observe and report on client appearance and behavior; sit, walk, stand and bend; make clinical interventions in unconventional treatment settings; operate keyboard driven computer equipment; and read data on monitor. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.

Panel Interview and may include a practical exercise.

- The CSB provides clinical supervision for employees who are registered as licensed eligible mental health in one of the following areas: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist.

- First Aid and CPR certification, within 3 months of appointment and maintained throughout CSB employment
- Medication Administration Assistance Certification 3 months of appointment
- Valid motor vehicle driver's license with fewer than six demerit points (or the equivalent in another State) maintained throughout employment with CSB.
- Qualified Mental Health Professional - Adult (QMHP-A), within 1 month of appointment
- Qualified Mental Health Case Manager (QMHCM), within 1 month of appointment

- Experience working with adults with SMI, Co-Occurring Disorders, and a history of homeless.
- Experience delivering mental health services in the community, including homes, homeless shelters, hospitals, jails, and other non-traditional community settings.
- Knowledge of and experience with community-based resources and treatment services and ability to collaborate with agencies and services.
- Experience with the Housing First and Permanent Supported Housing models.
