Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Provide primary nursing care to patients with mental health disorders and those undergoing addiction treatment under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and mental health status, including collecting health history and documenting findings accurately.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor their effectiveness, and document any side effects.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for patients.
- Provide therapeutic care and support, including crisis intervention, counseling, and education to patients and their families.
- Monitor patients' progress and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Comply with all healthcare regulations and standards while maintaining patient confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.
- Participate in continuous professional development activities to stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in mental health and addiction treatment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse RN license from an accredited nursing program.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and adhere to ethical principles in challenging situations.
- Must be able to manage time efficiently and handle a high level of stress.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
