Behavioral Health Receptionist PRN - Sarasota Memorial Health Care System

Greets and attends to customers on the phone, in person, and overhead paging system. Addresses customer needs by providing general information and/or refers to appropriate personnel. Registers patients and visitors according to established protocols. Inputs data into computer efficiently and accurately. Updates and maintains information and records. Follows safety, compliance, and privacy policies at all times. Coordinates, organizes, manages, and maintains the front desk and lobby area to facilitate the smooth running of the healthcare environment and support delivery of quality patient service and care. Performs other duties as assigned.

- Require a current Level II background check upon hire and maintain clear AHCA recertification.

- Prefer knowledge of computer, software applications and typing skills.
- Prefer ability to effectively communicate in a clear, articulate telephone voice
- Prefer basic understanding of medical terminology.
- Prefer excellent customer service skills.
- Prefer previous receptionist experience.
- Prefer one (1) year of computer and phone (with multi line phone) experience.

HS EQ: High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
