Location: Adult Residential Programs (ARS)
Position Type: Full-Time On-Site,
Schedule: Monday-Friday: 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm. Opportunity for a remote day
Compensation:$50,336.00-$60,403.20
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) for adults aged 22+ at multiple locations including Mt Sinai, Bellmore, Plainview, Deer Park, and Smithtown.
- Train and support staff and caregivers in behavior management strategies, emphasizing de-escalation techniques and crisis management.
- Monitor and adjust behavior intervention plans based on data collected, ensuring ongoing progress and compliance with client needs and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IDT) and committees, providing real-time feedback and updates on behavior support plans.
- Maintain detailed reports, complete assessments, and advocate for client needs, including medication reviews, in a flexible schedule environment with occasional evening and remote work options once established.

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, or related field (e.g., Clinical Social Work, School Psychology, Applied Psychology).
- At least 1 year of experience providing behavioral support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Strong skills in data collection, analysis, and behavior support plan development.
- Excellent communication, adaptability, and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
