BEHAVIOR HEALTH TECHNICIAN - Spherion

Spherion in Florence, SC currently has opportunities available for Behavioral Health Technicians on 1st shift to support our customer in Florence, SC. Our Behavioral Health Technicians will work first shift, with potential for overtime. In this role, the Behavioral Health Technician will support patient care by monitoring behaviors, assisting with daily activities, documenting patient progress, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment. Technicians will work closely with clinical staff to support treatment plans and assist in patient engagement and wellness.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and document patients? behaviors, emotional state, and progress throughout their treatment.
- Assist patients with daily activities and support them in maintaining routines, including participation in group and individual therapy sessions.
- Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the treatment environment by following protocols and de-escalating conflicts or crises.
- Communicate patient updates and concerns to the clinical team to support personalized treatment plans.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Various Shifts Available)

Skills:
- Familiarity with mental health and substance abuse treatment approaches in a residential or clinical setting.
- Experience with de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention.
- Ability to build rapport and maintain a supportive relationship with patients while enforcing boundaries.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and documentation.

Education:
Associate

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate?s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in behavioral health, mental health, or a similar healthcare setting.
- Ability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Strong communication skills and physical ability to support patients in an active treatment environment.
