Before School/Lunch & Recess Program Facilitator | Youth Mentor/Coach
Schedule: Part-time, full availability Monday through Friday between 7:30 AM - 2:50 PM (Coaches will be provided a minimum of 4 days per week).
Start & End Date: 8/19/2024 - 5/23/2025
Location: Various School sites within Anaheim Elementary School District
Expected Hourly Rate: $20

THE ROLE
- Lead groups of students through structured games based on the Elevo curriculum.
- Engage students in sports, games, and other activities.
- Supporting kids’ behavioral management needs.
- Collaborate seamlessly with school administrators, teachers, and fellow coaches.
- Leading outdoor lessons designed to increase excitement about learning.
- Serve as a positive role model to the students to build kids’ self-esteem and emotional wellness.
ABOUT YOU
- Have been successful working with elementary and/or middle school kids.
- Confidently manage groups of up to 20 students with minimal assistance.
- Can improvise, adapt, and take initiative when needed.
- Are approachable, empathetic, patient, and able to build trust with kids.
- Present yourself as a confident leader and a positive role model.
- Connect with students and foster positive learning experiences.
- Pay close attention to student needs and adjust activities accordingly.

- Ensure activities run smoothly and efficiently within allocated timeframes
Additional Requirements:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States, complete and pass a Live-Scan background check, and TB screening.
- 1-2 years of working experience in education, coaching, child development, or other child-focused experiences strongly preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Willing to follow COVID-19 protocols outlined by the school.
- Must have at least 48 college credits completed or successfully pass a CAPE exam.
Candidates must be able to engage in the following activities with or without an accommodation:
- Ability to constantly move about to accomplish tasks or move from one place to another frequently.
- Sitting, standing, for long periods.
- Occasional running and other strenuous physical activity.
- Ability to move safely on irregular and or uneven terrain regularly.
