Our client is seeking a dedicated Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide high-quality behavior analysis services to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in Northern Virginia. The BCBA will assess, develop, and implement individualized behavior intervention plans, collaborate with caregivers and interdisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with state and ethical guidelines.
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized behavior support plans (BSPs).
* Provide direct and indirect supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and other staff.
*Implement evidence-based interventions to reduce challenging behaviors and promote skill acquisition.
* Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams (e.g., speech therapists, occupational therapists, case managers).
* Train staff and caregivers on behavior intervention strategies and individualized programs.
* Ensure compliance with state regulations, Medicaid guidelines, and the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) ethical standards.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, progress notes, and reports.
* Participate in IEP meetings, care team meetings, and interdisciplinary case reviews as needed.
* Stay updated with best practices in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and continue professional development.
CLIENT'S REQUIRED AND EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
* Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification (active and in good standing with the BACB).
* Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
* Experience working with individuals with IDD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and challenging behaviors.
* Knowledge of Virginia state regulations, Medicaid guidelines, and IDD waiver programs (preferred).
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to train and supervise staff effectively.
* Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and electronic health records (EHRs).
* Must pass background checks and meet state licensing requirements.
