The infrastructure – Batch Scheduler role is responsible for providing support to application developers and vendors in support of workflow automation and file movement
Responsibilities:
- Create and Manage SFTP connections to internal and external endpoints
- Develop, create, modify and test application batch schedules for overnight cycle runs
- Manage source code changes in git
- Work with Application teams in setting up batch schedules
- Coordinate and work with outside vendors regarding secure file transfers
- Coordinate and manage secure keys for file transfers and encryption
- Work collaboratively with development teams and the business
- Troubleshoot automation failures across Windows, Linux and ZOS platforms.
Skills & Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to work with Python, another high level language or shell scripting
- Excellent working knowledge of an enterprise level workload automation application preferably Broadcom ESP Workload Automation or DSeries.
- Source control management, especially git.
- Intermediate Windows and Linux system administration functions – file transfer, copying, editing, authentication and authorization
- Working knowledge of the ZOS operating system: dataset creation, movement and editing
- Working knowledge of LDAP implementations including Active Directory
- Ability to troubleshoot Networking and file transfer protocols
- Encryption and Decryption
Experience
- 5 years’ experience supporting MVS environment, UNIX, Linux and Windows Servers
- Familiar with Virtualization Technologies (VMware)
- Familiar with AWS and other Cloud technologies
- Strong technical hands on experience on LINUX, UNIX and Windows environments required
- Experience with a Version Control system such as Subversion, Git, SCLM, MKS, CVS or PVCS required
- Experience with a scripting language such as Perl, Python, or Linux/UNIX shell scripting required
Education/Licenses/Professional Designations
- We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 3 years of college with a major or minor in IT management, networking, and programming disciplines.
