Job Description
Inspection Experts, Inc. (IEI) is an engineering, environmental and facilities solutions company with offices in Columbia, MD; Kansas City, MO, and Lincoln, NE. IEI is seeking a Business Automation Systems (BAS) Engineer to support a federal customer worldwide with BAS and HVAC systems support services. Our client needs the services of a BAS engineer to conduct the following activities:
- BAS Preventative Maintenance (PM) services to include point-to-point checkouts.
- Investigating and troubleshooting BAS and HVAC systems within large federal facilities.
- Developing comprehensive service reports to include trip summaries, findings and proposed solutions.
- Creating new and/or modifying existing logic control programs to meet the requirements of various facilities.
- Troubleshooting communication networks including Bacnet, Lonworks and others.
- Conduct repair, modification and replacement of parts (including controllers) and software.
- Conduct upgrades to obsolete systems with limited support from manufacturer resources due to facilities being in remote locations.
- Provide training to facility engineers in host-country with limited BAS knowledge and training.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 5-years of experience supporting BAS maintenance, repair and replacement projects.
- Experience creating and modifying Building Automation System graphics, Third party integration via BACnet/Modbus protocol.
- Experience creating control logic programs from scratch to meet the requirements of different sequences of operation.
- Experience troubleshooting control logic programs that control Chiller plants, Cooling towers, pressurization systems and various other types of HVAC functionalities.
- Experience applying concepts, principles, and methods for network connectivity (e.g., routing, switching, tunneling, and IP addressing).
- Ability to travel overseas at least 50%.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
- Experience conducting work within federal facilities is preferred.
