Summary:
Sushi Marquee is the first of its kind, guest will be transported visually back to the days of 80s and 90s movie nostalgia. Movie posters from the films we all know and love, movie clips from some of the most famous live action stars, and a live element from our team members that every guest will be talking about long after they are gone!
Overview:
Likes to have a lot of fun while they are working. Highly energetic and animated personality with some flair bar skills. Offers exceptional customer service while mixing and serving both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to patrons of bar, following standard recipes: Mixes ingredients, such a liquor soda, water, sugar, syrups and bitters, to prepare cocktails and other drinks. Offers and serves food items to customers, collects money for drinks served, arranges bottles and glasses to make an attractive display, and may slice fruit for garnishing drinks and tend to the service well.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for routine cleaning, the setup and breakdown of bar. This includes all preparation required to run bar efficiently and smoothly
- Accepts drink and/or food orders from patrons and servers
- Checks IDs of all patrons who look under the age of 30. Notifies management of underage drinking
- Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for patrons of bar and all dining areas following standard recipes. Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, syrups and juices to prepare cocktails and other drinks
- Serves wine, sake and bottled/draught beer. Serves food products as ordered by the customers
- Rings all drinks and food orders into the POS, collects money from patrons for drinks and food served and makes proper change for patrons and employees
- Keeps Management informed of bar supply inventories and reports any defective product or equipment immediately
- Washes and sterilizes glassware and keeps bottles, glassware and beverage products arranged to make an attractive display
- Completes daily/weekly cleaning and side work requirements prior, during and after shift
- Follows all federal, state and local laws, codes and regulations outlined by the Sushi Marquee Employee Handbook
- Responsible for liquor cost
Qualifications:
- Outgoing person acting as an ambassador of company values, mission, image to the public at all times
- Ability to interact with customers and fellow co-workers
- Organized
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multi task and show flexibility during high volume periods.
- Knowledge of products and ingredients
- High volume in craft cocktail service
- Positive vibe personality
- Continuation in learning their craft in bartending
Education/Qualifications:
- Must meet the minimum age requirement of your state of employment
- Two years bartending experience a plus
- Experience in the restaurant industry
- Approved state alcohol training required
