We are seeking a friendly and knowledgeable Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a high-volume craft cocktail bar. Additional experience working in a restaurant and familiarity with different point-of-sale systems preferred.
Duties:
- Verify identification and age requirements of customers
- Open and maintain tabs throughout the shift
- Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
- Build a good rapport with customers to create a positive atmosphere
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register
- Clean draft lines and change kegs
- Maintain a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.
- Serve both food and drinks to customers at the bar
- Keep customer areas clean and bus the bar when needed
Qualifications:
- Customer service
- Planning and multi-tasking
- Knowledge of spirits, cocktails, beer, and wine, and a desire to learn more
- Self-motivated with a high energy level
- Strong verbal communication skills and phone etiquette
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of experience in hospitality or guest services
- Experience using POS systems
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
