New Richmond Bartender
Are you looking to get involved in the craft beer world? Join the Lift Bridge team by working as a Bartender in our first taproom in Wisconsin. Serve patrons by creating the best possible craft beer experience. Contribute by guiding guests through the tap menu, pouring a pint, informing them of our events, offering merchandise and to-go beer options, and encouraging them to sign up for our Mug Club!
Must haves:
- Appreciation for craft beer.
- Feeling of well-being and confidence when around others and good beer.
- Ability to communicate descriptions of multiple beer styles and flavors.
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to maintain a State of WI Bartender License with Background Check
- GED or High School Diploma
- Availability evenings and weekends and some holidays, typically 8 hour shifts.
- Wednesdays and Thursdays- start time 2 pm
- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday - start time 11 am, and occasionally 10 am for events
- Work on your feet for the duration of the shift
- Carry at least 50 lbs and lift throughout the shift
- Engage in learning opportunities and procedural changes
- Effective, outgoing, friendly communicator/greeter to actively engage customers
- Effectively interact in a respectful manner with customers and staff
- Experience in retail or bar/restaurant environments
- Complete Bartenders License for the State of Wisconsin after onboarding
Duties:
- Serve draft beer for on-site & off-site sales in accordance with WI state law and house policies
- Complete cash and credit card transactions using Point of Sales software
- Serve food products and beverages in accordance with food safety regulations
- Maintain an enjoyable atmosphere for customers by adjusting music, lighting, and furniture
- Ability to multi-task and provide friendly customer service
- Interact with and educate customers about craft beer
- Check identification in accordance with State regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of taproom, outdoor areas, and back of the house facilities
- Carry out instructions for a variety of taproom promotions and events
- Perform open/close lists to standard
- Rotate out Barback shifts with coworkers
- Communicate with supervisors and coworkers
Particulars:
- Friday and Saturday closing shifts. (4/5 pm - 10/11 pm)
- 8-24 hours per week.
- Minnesota minimum wage plus tips and an incentive program
