POSITION OVERVIEW
Personable and attentive Bartender to mix and serve alcoholic beverages using proper service execution, and in accordance with the law. Responsible for providing excellent service to our resort members and guests. Resort wide cocktails are to be made using recipe provided by leadership.
RATE OF PAY $12.00 per hour plus the opportunity to make tips
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Follow All SOP's assigned for the position assigned for each shift.
- Complete all Shift Checklists assigned by leadership daily.
- Possess specific knowledge of house wines, beer and liquor selections, up selling where applicable; possess thorough menu knowledge.
- Taking a guest order, you are required to perform direct communication with the guest, along with proper service execution.
- Adhere to strict drink recipe portions, in regard to law, sanitation, and service excellence represent these standards.
- Requisition liquor and supplies needed; par list must be kept.
- Daily exchange of information is imperative between the Restaurant Manager and Assistant Restaurant Manager, as well as line level associates.
- Pre-shifts with fellow staff and management.
- Arrange and stock bar with supplies and condiments to specifications.
- Arrange bottles and glasses to specification.
- Ensure clean and sanitary conditions at all times.
- Execution of steps of service and company standards.
- Execution of Restaurant BEOs as needed.
- Follow associate schedule and work assignments.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of one-year previous experience as a bartender or mixologist in an upscale restaurant, hotel/resort or private club environment preferred.
Required: -Must have a valid driver’s license, motor vehicle background check will be completed
-Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with State regulations)
-Must be 18 years old or older to hold this role, serving/selling alcohol in state of FL
-Food Handlers Certification (must comply with State regulations)
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Fluent in English language, must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Comprehend reading materials, speak, read and write English; other languages valuable.
- This position holds multiple job functions at once, a great multitasker.
- Must show initiative in job performance, including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity.
- Works well in stressful, high-pressure situations – fast paced environment.
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns or issues raised by coworkers and/or guests.

- Impeccable standards of appearance and grooming.
- Maintains proper associate uniform standards and footwear which is slip resistant, enclosed toe and heel.
WORKING CONDITIONS - PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Position requires you to be able to stand, walk, bend and stoop for prolonged periods of time.
Must be able work in different types of weather, including high temperatures.
Position will be required to work indoors and outside.
HOURS REQUIRED 40 hours per week, flexible schedule, will be required to work weekends and/or holidays.
