About the Job
The Bartenders’ primary role will be to prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. It is also the bartender’s responsibility to maintain the cleanliness of the bar area, restock beer and wine, replenish bar caddies, prepare ingredients (such as syrups and compotes) and, most importantly, ensure our guests have a pleasant experience. Bartenders will also be held accountable for cash and credit card transactions, as well as the bar drawer. Bar staff may also be allowed to assist with cocktail creation and innovation. The bartender will also be responsible for taking the guests’ food order, making recommendations regarding wine and beer pairings, and must follow the restaurant’s ‘Steps of Service’ as closely as possible.
Bartender Job Responsibilities:
Provide a pleasant experience to customers
Serve drinks while maintaining a clean and sanitary bar area
Ensure the proper detail and presentation of each beverage or order
Prepare ingredients by following recipes, dating recipes, and rotating stock using the FIFO method
Check in beer, liquor, and wine orders when a manager is not present, ensuring each product on the invoice is present on the order
Shows strong leadership skills in stressful rushes by keeping an even temperament
Ensures cleanliness by completing specifically assigned checklists: Opening Checklist, Closing Checklist, Weekly Cleaning Duties
Listens to customer concerns, suggestions, and feedback while being mindful to get management involved to ensure guests will be heard and appreciated
Participate in, or contribute to continuing education of spirits, beer, and wine
Other duties as assigned
Bartender Prerequisites:
Knowledge of products with emphasis on spirits and cocktails
Decision-making skills
Excellent customer service
Interpersonal and communication skills

Strong leadership and adaptability
High energy level and ability to multitask
Must have transportation, and weekend and holiday availability
