What To Expect
- Always attentive to guests and team
- Share your thorough knowledge of the food and beverage menu in order to answer all questions from guests and team
- Engage with guests and be able to recommend cocktails and suggest alternatives
- Take food and beverage orders, paying close attention to special requests and dietary restrictions
- Serve food, wine, cocktails and beverages
- Follows craft cocktail recipes and ensure consistency
- Inputs all orders into the POS system accurately
- Clear and reset tables
- Demonstrate an understanding of our steps of service
- Engage in communication and active listening to effectively deliver accurate messaging to both guests and teammates
- Willing and able to stay up to date on beverage trends, knowledge and internal practices
- Perform opening and closing side work
- Responsible to monitor, restock, and replenish bar par levels, inventory and supplies
- Keep track of inventory to ensure both bar and tables are appropriately stocked
- Ensure work area is in compliance with health codes at all times
Bartender Lead
- Assist in explaining restaurant procedures; i.e. clocking in/out, where to store personal items, breaks and uniform standards
- Review with new team members the menu and beverage booklets
- Conduct one on one service training, mentoring and as a group when applicable
- Introduce opening and closing duties and be available to provide feedback on tasks and sign off on completion
- Explain, show and observe steps of service. Be available to answer questions
- Participate in organizing all areas of the restaurant to ensure standards are met
- Communicate any observed needs, i.e. supplies, maintenance.
- Actively participate in supporting existing and new programs, including staff participation and enthusiasm of new task implementation
- Participate in suggesting and discussing process improvements or ideas for service
- Model service standards enacting service standards at all time, for self and peers
- This role may become a key holder and will have the responsibilities that may accompany opening and closing the restaurant
- You must have proven experience as a Lead in a restaurant/bar

You Should Have
- Prefer (2) or more years of bar experience in a high volume fine or casual dining restaurant
- A valid TABC Certification and Food Handlers Certification is required and must be obtained before entering this position
- Proven knowledge and understanding of craft/creative cocktails and wine
PHYSICAL AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift.
- Must be observant and quick to respond to various situations while also multitasking and handling stressful situations.
- Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend climb and carry objects as necessary.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Must be able to work in a fast pace and high-volume environment in the presence of areas containing high noise levels ,bright lights and dust and communicate during this time – sometimes within a small area.
- Must be able to work inside and outside at all times of the year as needed, based upon business volumes.
