Job Summary:
The Bartender at Courtyard Fargo will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests by providing exceptional service, crafting delicious beverages, and preparing signature crafted food items. As an integral member of our team, the bartender will strive to exceed guest expectations and enhance the overall experience at our establishment. This is a part-time, hourly position in the hospitality/restaurant industry, located in Fargo, North Dakota.
Compensation & Benefits:
This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $13 to $15 per hour, paid biweekly. In addition to the competitive pay, we also offer a positive work environment, opportunities for growth and development, and discounts on hotel stays and food and beverage purchases.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and providing recommendations on menu items.
-Take, prepare and serve food orders from The Bistro menu.
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and specialty drinks.
- Adhere to all responsible alcohol service guidelines, ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, constantly restocking and replenishing supplies as needed.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Build rapport with guests, anticipate their needs, and provide prompt and efficient service.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and seamless flow of service.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards to ensure a safe and hygienic work environment.
- Assist with inventory management and placing orders for bar supplies.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a bartender in a high-volume establishment.
- Excellent knowledge of mixing and pouring techniques, alcohol brands, and cocktail recipes.
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g. TIPS) is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Proven cash handling skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
