Compass Coffee was founded in 2014 by two Marines who, after years of drinking terrible coffee on deployment, became obsessed with the quest for the perfect cup. What began as a desire to unlock the secret to perfect coffee grew into something much more significant. It was the realization that coffee is more than just a drink. Compass Coffee has since expanded to 16 cafes in and around DC where Real Good Coffee is served and communities are formed. At the heart of it all is a relentless commitment to quality at every step - to ethical sourcing, masterful blending, and peak roasting in small batches - all to create an experience that is much more than just a cup of coffee.
As a Compass barista, you will:
- Create a welcoming atmosphere, and provide legendary customer service

You"ll make a great barista if you are:

Basic Qualifications
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
- Uphold cafe operational standards
- Engage with and understand our customers, including discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication
- Prepare food and drinks to standard or customized customer requests
- Available to perform many different tasks within the cafe during each shift
The pay range for this role is:
18 - 20.25 USD per hour(7393 Lee)
