DESCRIPTION

Now taking applications for full and part-time Barista positions for our Mexico, MO location. Our Baristas create a memorable customer experience by providing fast, friendly service and consistent, quality products. This role is responsible for performing all job duties in a manner consistent with current company processes and procedures while maintaining all food safety and sanitation standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet and connect with each customer
• Welcome questions and seek opportunities to constantly learn about our product offerings
• Suggestively sell gift cards, complementary/additional products, and merchandise
• Solicit order, enter sale and process payment in a timely and friendly manner
• Promotion of Scooter’s Coffee mobile app
• Manage cash register/drawer, following established cash handling procedures and ability to perform retail math
• Serve all customer orders according to recipe and aesthetic guidelines
• Deliver products within established speed of service guidelines and identify drink upon delivery
• Operate and maintain cleanliness of all store equipment
• Optimize workflow efficiency by restocking workstations, food supplies, and merchandise
• Ensure consistent product availability by keeping adequate inventory and communicating shortages as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of coworker and customer areas
• Demonstrate genuine appreciation to each and every customer
• Other duties as determined by Store Manager

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Passion for working with people

• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
• Attention to detail
• Ability to learn quickly, problem solve and multi-task
• Lifting or moving items above head up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to restock shelving using a step ladder
• Ability to stand for long-periods of time
• Multi-tasking
• Successfully complete Scooter’s Coffee Barista training within a 2-week time period
• Stay current on Scooterversity Training and/or other requirements for food handlers; as may be required by the local health department
• Flexibility as shifts may vary and could include evenings and/or weekends
