We currently have an opportunity for a well-rounded and seasoned Barista/Cashier to join our Pier Sixty-Six Resort opening team!
Responsibilities:- Craft and serve high-quality espresso-based beverages, ensuring consistency and excellence in every cup.
- Provide personalized service to guests, taking orders with diligence and offering recommendations based on their preferences.
- Masterfully prepare a variety of specialty coffee drinks, including lattes, cappuccinos, macchiatos, and seasonal offerings.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including coffee machines, equipment, and serving areas, in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Uphold the highest standards of beverage quality and presentation, adhering to established recipes and techniques.
- Assist in inventory management, including stocking and replenishing coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies as needed.
- Maintain the grab and go marketplace offerings.
- Collaborate with other food and beverage team members to ensure seamless service and exceed guest expectations.
- Demonstrate a passion for coffee and a commitment to excellence, embodying the luxury resort's brand values and standards.
- Contribute to the overall guest experience by delivering exceptional service and creating memorable moments through genuine hospitality.
- Notify Supervisors immediately of any product shortages or out-of-stock items.
- Record all transactions in the InfoGenesis system at time of order accurately.
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day
- Complete closing duties, including restocking items to set par levels, turning off lights, etc.
- Present physical and accurate check to guests and process payments
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to resort standards.
- Anticipate and address guests` service needs.
- Speak with others using a clear and professional language.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support your team to reach common goals.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
- Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
Qualifications:
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and motivated individual
- Must be able to speak, comprehend, read, and write English.
- Must have effective communication skills.
- Ability to implement and uphold service standards.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.
- Ability to interact with all associates and guests of the resort.
- Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
- Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time.
Experience, Education, & Licensure
- High School Diploma or GED recommended.
- Some College experience or Degree recommended.
- Must be TIPS certified or become certified within 30 days of hire.
- Must have a current Food Handlers card.
- Previous barista experience in a professional setting is preferred.
