Job Description:
As a Barista at Beans in the belfry, you will be an integral part of our dynamic team, responsible for crafting and serving high-quality coffee beverages while delivering outstanding customer service. Your role will involve:
Key Responsibilities:
- Beverage Preparation: Master coffee preparation, including espresso, pour-over, and specialty drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Customer Service: Engage with customers in a friendly and efficient manner, creating a positive and welcoming environment. Take customer orders, answer questions, and provide recommendations.
- Cash Handling: Accurately handle cash transactions and operate the point-of-sale system. Maintain a tidy and organized cash register area.
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the coffee bar and dining area clean and organized at all times. This includes regularly cleaning equipment, utensils, and the workspace.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow team members to ensure smooth operations. Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to address customer needs and maintain a cohesive work environment.
- Product Knowledge: Stay informed about our coffee selection, brewing methods, and menu items. Share this knowledge with customers to enhance their overall experience.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a barista or in a customer service role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Passion for coffee and a desire to learn and develop new skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Previous kitchen experience
