Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Conduct thorough evaluations and follow-ups for patients undergoing bariatric procedures. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and provide pre-operative and post-operative care.
- Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including surgeons, dietitians, and psychologists to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
- Education: Educate patients and their families about bariatric procedures, lifestyle changes, and post-operative care to support their long-term success.
- Innovation: Participate in clinical research and contribute to the development of new protocols and practices in bariatric care.
- Quality Improvement: Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize the efficiency of the bariatric program.
Qualifications:
- Education: Advanced practice degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Physician Assistant Studies or Nurse Practitioner program.
- Certification: Board certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) with a focus on bariatric or related fields.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in bariatric or related surgical fields is preferred.
- Skills: Strong clinical skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care.
