SUMMARY:
The Barback assists in setting the standards by which our restaurant is judged in your appearance, your disposition, and your attitude towards the guest. You are always in full view of the guest. You only get one opportunity to make a first impression.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow food safety and sanitary guidelines issued by the Health Department.
- Complete assigned side-work in the allocated timeframe.
- Be familiar with all our specialty cocktail recipes, wines btg, spirits, and beers.
- Knowledge of glassware is needed behind the bar.
- Responsible for receiving and storing all liquor, beer, and wine daily.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the bar, refrigerators, and service areas of the bar in an organized manner.
- Replenish all liquor, beer, and wine as needed in the bar during the shift.
- Assist with polishing.
- Restock the bar with garnishes, straws, beverage napkins, roll-ups, plates, and glassware.
- Replenish mixers, juices, and bottles.
- Complete the bar pull sheet for the next shift.
- Assist in ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of the bar or lounge areas.
- Assist with monthly inventory.
- Work closely with other team members to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Attend a monthly bar deep cleaning.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with company standards.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of two years experience in the role of a Barback
- Be of legal age to serve alcohol.
- Physically fit to meet the demands of the job, such as lifting liquor boxes and standing for long hours.
- Strong knowledge of bar menu items.
- Willing to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Friendly, responsible, and punctual.
- Customer Service oriented.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Attention to detail, cleanliness, and safety.
EDUCATION:
- High School degree, GED or Equivalent.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Excellent verbal communication skills in English and Spanish (preferred).
REASONING ABILITY:
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, associates, and external partners.
- Ability to work well under pressure and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies.
