Banquets Captain / F&B Coordinator - Aimbridge Hospitality

Job Summary The Banquet Captain is responsible for supervising and assisting with the set-up service and clean-up of all assigned banquet functions. The F&B Coordinator is responsible for assiting the Head Chef and Sous Chef with administrative and coordinating tasks for the department. This role is a combination of both Banquet Captain and F&B Coordinator. Responsibilities QUALIFICATIONS: + At least 3-5 years of progressive experience in a Banquet role, as well as 3-5 years experience as a food and beverage coordinator High School diploma or equivalent required. + College course work in related field helpful. + Previous supervisory responsibility preferred. + Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with State regulations) RESPONSIBILITIES: + Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly service oriented manner. + Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel. + Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working (per brand standards). + Comply at all times with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations. + Comply with certification requirements as applicable to position to include Alcohol Awareness Food Handlers Safety etc. + Maintain friendly and warm demeanor at all times. + Inspect the set-up of meeting and banquet functions checking them against the Banquet Event Order. + Assist with Food and Beverage Ordering + Assist with Food and Beverage Administrative tasks, such as ordering supplies, printing and formatting menus + Colloborate with and Assit Head Chef and Sous Chef Additional Information This is a split role with two seperate job codes. You will be a banquet Captain part time as needed, and when you aren't working banquets you will work as the Food and Beverage Coordinator. You will receive 20/hr plus tips as a banquet captain and 20-25/hr (depending on experience) as a F&B Coordinator. Property Details A warm welcome to the Embassy Suites by Hilton Seattle Bellevue.
