About the Job
Qualifications Desired: Should have some knowledge of Food and Beverage service. Must be outgoing and enjoy serving individuals. Must be honest and trustworthy. Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 25 lbs.
Role Description: To enhance quality service during banquet/catering functions. Responsible for the execution and completion of duty assignments. Maintain professional and business profile while acting as a San Antonio Country Club representative. High visibility on the floor during a function. Close communication between peers, supervisor, and manager. Interaction with the membership as necessary to maintain the high-quality standards of SACC.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for punctuality when reporting to work, and clocking in only after being in full uniform.
- Responsible for personal hygiene, grooming, clean uniform and professional appearance.
- Seek out the supervisor/manager letting them that you are present.
- Check the bulletin board for duty assignments and sections. Report to manager/supervisor after completion of pre-function duty.
- Attend the function meeting given by the supervisor/manager, ask questions if you do not understand.
- Be aware of what is being served (menu), the order of courses served, the direction was taken when serving, and any bar information.
- Coordinate with Banquet Captain/Manager regarding particulars of service (wine, bread, dressing, hors-d'oeuvres, etc...).
- Coordinate with Banquet Captain/Manager when to break down and clear and clean room and work areas.
- Responsible to check re-set assignments, coordinate with Captain/Manager as to the correct and proper procedure to accomplish the assignment.
- To perform other duties as directed by your supervisor or Club manager.
