Overview:In this role, responsibilities will include analyzing & tracking incoming bankruptcy notices and payments on bankrupt and collection of recovery accounts. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills with a strong capability of making sound decisions.
Responsibilities:- Track incoming Bankruptcy Notices and ATTY/Trustee/Agency payments on Bankrupt and Recovery accounts
- Review new Bankruptcy filings and ensure credit union is protected against loss.
- File Proofs of Claim in CH13 and CH7 asset cases
- Referring BK accounts to BK legal counsel.
- Negotiates bankruptcy reaffirmations
- Processing BK discharge and dismissal notices on system
- Posting of monthly Bankruptcy Trustee, Collection agency, and member payments
- Collects past due balances on charged-off loans/shares and negotiates payment arrangements or assists in asset liquidation processes
- Negotiates and approved loan settlements offers
- Ensures all member contact is conducted in a respectful and professional manner and in full compliance with regulations & the credit union’s standards.
- Responsible for the management and control of assigned queue(s). Ensures goals assigned for the queue(s) as well as departmental goals are achieved on a consistent & compliant basis.
- Placing non-BK charge-off accounts to collection agencies and attorneys when appropriate
- Track and manages collections agencies performance
- Placing delinquent auto loans for Repossession
- Prepare and update various reports for charge offs, BK, CH7, CH13
- Coordinate and support vendor relationships & accounts payable
- Assist members with credit disputes
- May represent Patelco Credit Union for various court appearances
- May be responsible for Quality Control monitoring and reviews
- Other duties as assigned

- Knowledge of US Bankruptcy System
- Knowledge of Collection Process
- Knowledge of collection process for non-BK charge-off recovery members
Physical Activities/Requirements
- This role is based in Dublin Headquarter Offices.
$26.00- $26.15 / hr
