Our firm, the Christian Wyatt Group specializes in accounting, finance, audit and risk roles at Community, Super Community, and Small Regional Banks all over the United States. If you are an Accounting and Finance Professional with banking expertise and have 10+ years of experience either in A) a public accounting firm auditing Community and Small Regional Banks or B) are gainfully employed as an Assistant Controller, or a Controller in a privately held or publicly traded bank this could be a great opportunity for you.
Our Client – is a growing multi-billion dollar financial services organization that is looking to add a Controller to their team. Our client is a well-established organization and is doing quite well do to their wide cross section of product offerings. This is an established role and a unique position that with a ‘foot in the door’ could be the catalyst for a long successful career as the bank continues to grow. The depth of bench strength in Accounting & Finance is strong, however they need a strong tactical, yet strategic Controller to run all aspects of Operational Accounting.
The Opportunity –The essence of the role includes being very well versed on US GAAP, General Ledger, A/R, A/P, Recons, Fixed Assets, Prepaids, (some) income tax exposure, etc. in a banking environment. Our client needs a strong candidate that can drive process improvement, play to the strengths of the folks on your team and set the strategic course of the department. This is an efficient organization that moves quickly. Our client needs someone who works well autonomously, makes great decisions, and knows their ‘stuff.’
What We Are Looking For In A Candidate – We are looking for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), currently having 10+ plus years of Public Accounting Experience auditing banks or a sitting Assistant Controller or Controller of an established Bank. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, a desire to learn, and a personality that lends itself to helping others in what will continue to be an outstanding, collaborative team environment.
