A from-scratch bakery located in Wardensville, WV, is seeking a Bakery Manager to join their team! Tucked between the mountains, the location of this bakery is ideal for someone who enjoys the outdoors and a small town, with local markets, farms, and music!
The right candidate for this role has a general willingness to learn, a commitment to quality, prior baking knowledge/experience, and a genuine interest in making a positive impact on the younger generation! This company works very closely with a non-profit organization to teach the local youth culinary skills, as well as food handling and safety, through day-to-day production within the Bakery.

Responsibilities:
- Budgeting and budget management
- Commitment to quality
- Collaborative mindset
- Staffing: interview, hire and manage necessary crew members (Assistant managers, dishwashers & bakery team members) and staying ahead of staffing issues
- Supervising shifts and effectively managing all Bakery staff through equitably and sustainably setting expectations and holding team members accountable to drive for results
- Execute & track inventory on a monthly basis
- Scheduling team members for shifts while operating within determined Labor budgets
- Collaborating with the General Manager, Executive Chef & Culinary Director to provide an exceptional hospitality experience for our staff and guest
- Collaborating and communicating with the Market Manager on new items, customer feedback
- Setting and maintaining high standards in food quality as well as professionalism amongst staff
- Active in planning and executing all functions of the Culinary Department to meet daily, monthly and annual goals in conjunction with the General Manager, Executive Chef and the Culinary Director
- Adherence to maintenance, safety and sanitation practices/regulations
- Implementing innovative strategies to improve productivity & sales
- Creating & implementing menu items
