Sodexo's Airport Lounge Segment is hiring a Sous Chef at JFK International Airport.

Grow your culinary career! We are seeking candidates with prior culinary supervisory skills and hands-on food production experience to join our growing team.

The successful candidate will:

have baking experience supporting high volume locations;
be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis, and food production forecasting;
ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;
have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;
ensure food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standard compliance; and/or
have a working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production, and management systems (Excel Spreadsheets).

Seeking bilingual candidates; the ability to communicate in Spanish will be helpful in managing this workforce.

Position Summary:

Provides culinary leadership within a small-sized unit including menu planning, program execution, and staff management & training.
Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution.

Key Duties:

Executes the culinary function
Customer & Client satisfaction
Manages food & physical safety program
Works with a talented and experienced team of sous chefs and managers

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 5 years
