POSITION
Backup CNA
POSITION PURPOSE
As a Backup CNA, you'll play a vital role in ensuring seamless, compassionate care for individuals with disabilities, stepping in whenever and wherever needed. Your responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, monitoring health needs, and providing companionship, ensuring that clients receive exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities
Be Ready and Available: Stay on call via phone during scheduled shifts, prepared to assist under the direction of Skilled Services Coordinators.
Flexible Scheduling: Choose between a permanent weekly shift or flexible PRN hours (5 shifts/month).
Provide High-Quality Care: Assist clients with various tasks as outlined in their care plan, spanning CNA, PCW, IHSS, and IDD roles.
Document & Communicate: Record visits, communicate with PASCO team members, and maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
Build Positive Relationships: Work closely with Coordinators, the On-Call Nurse, and administration to address client needs and special circumstances proactively.
CNA and/or home health experience (highly preferred)
Willingness to work out of clients' homes
Graduate of a state-approved CNA program
QMAP certification (highly preferred)
High school diploma or equivalent
CPR training (offered at no cost by PASCO)
Completion of all required PASCO trainings, including bowel competencies
Knowledge, Skills, and Strengths
Consumer Service: Build professional, compassionate relationships with clients.
Reliability: Consistently fulfill commitments and communicate clearly.
Collaboration: Maintain a positive, flexible attitude in balancing team and client needs.
Regulatory Knowledge: Understand state, federal, and licensing regulations for care documentation.
Effective Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills for diverse client populations.
Physical Requirements
Ability to walk or stand for extended periods
Exert up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and up to 20 lbs. frequently
Engage in physical tasks like stooping, kneeling, and lifting
Reliable transportation with valid Colorado driver’s license and insurance
Ability to travel throughout PASCO's Denver metro service area, with compensated drive time and mileage reimbursement
JOB TYPE: Hourly / part-time OR full-time
COMPENSATION: $20-$25/hour + $1,000 SIGN-ON BONUS + mileage reimbursement
SCHEDULE: Create your weekly schedule from the days/times listed below OR work x5 shifts per month that you schedule the month prior.
Permanent Shifts: Candidates seeking a scheduled working week can choose between these shifts. Please make sure you can commit to this weekly schedule for 90 days.
