As a Backend Data Engineer, youll collaborate with business experts, analytics teams, and engineers to design and implement scalable data solutions. Your contributions will enable the transformation of complex data into actionable insights, supporting reliable and trusted business intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines and actionable data models.
- Build and support robust cloud-based data architectures, including ETL processes.
- Develop solutions utilizing tools such as PostgreSQL, Python, and cloud technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions align with business strategies.
- Create standards and best practices for data science and business intelligence projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues while promoting quality frameworks.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 3+ years in database development, data pipeline creation, and cloud-based data solutions.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala; and familiarity with cloud technologies.
- Proven track record of delivering data-centric projects and driving business intelligence outcomes.
- Strong skills in Agile development, team collaboration, and data visualization tools.
- Bonus: Experience in niche industries, including gaming, wagering, or related fields.
