Position Summary:
As a Back-of-House/Kitchen Team Member at Chick-fil-A Outlets at San Clemente, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, cleanliness, and efficiency in our kitchen operations. You will work closely with other team members to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our guests while adhering to all state and federal laws and Chick-fil-A standards. This position is a non-exempt hourly position
Responsibilities:
1. Food Preparation: Prepare and cook menu items according to Chick-fil-A recipes and procedures with accuracy and efficiency.
2. Food Safety and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and following proper food safety protocols to prevent cross-contamination.
3. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours and support each other as needed.
4. Inventory Management: Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food and supply inventory to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
5. Equipment Maintenance: Properly use and maintain kitchen equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions to management promptly.
6. Compliance: Adhere to all state and federal regulations, including food safety guidelines, health and safety standards, and labor laws.
7. Training: Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities provided by Chick-fil-A to enhance job skills and knowledge.
8. Guest Experience: Consistently deliver high-quality food and service to guests, maintaining Chick-fil-A's reputation for excellence.
Qualifications:
1. Previous kitchen experience preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
2. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and procedures accurately.
3. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure.
4. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude when working with team members and guests.
5. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs.
6. Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the United States.
