We specialize in German-inspired beers in both traditional and historical styles. Our beers are named and inspired by the famous German writers Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm. Pay Rate: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour DOE
Grimm Brothers Brewhouse is looking for a passionate and skilled Back-of-House (BOH) Cook to join our team. As a BOH Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive top-notch food prepared with care and consistency, while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. Your creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment will be essential to our continued success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute a variety of dishes, including baked goods, appetizers, entrees, and desserts, following Grimm Brother's recipes and quality standards.
- Produce fresh and enticing bakery items, including bread, pastries, and cakes.
- Ensure strict adherence to Grimm Brother's recipes and portion sizes to maintain consistency and high-quality food.
- Maintain a keen eye for detail to guarantee the visual appeal, taste, and temperature of all dishes, contributing to the overall customer dining experience.
- Follow strict food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the kitchen environment.
- Regularly monitor and maintain kitchen equipment.
- Clean dishes as needed to maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
- Assist in the preparation of food items, including cutting, chopping, and ingredient portioning.
- Regularly clean equipment and kitchen area, including taking out the trash, to maintain a hygienic workspace.
- Maintain organization of dry goods, ingredients, and kitchen supplies.
- Clean up the station and take care of leftover food at the end of shifts.
- Perform after-hours cleanup to ensure a tidy and ready-to-use kitchen for the next day.
- Assist with meat slicing as needed.
- Assist with packaging and preparation for wholesale orders as needed.
Qualifications:
- ServSafe or TIPS certified preferred (or equivalent state certification for Food and Alcohol handling)
- Commercial baking experience preferred, or willingness to learn
- Previous experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen setting.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing kitchen needs.
- A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to exceed customer expectations.
