What We're Looking For
Cross River's Fintech Banking Business Credit Risk team has oversight of assessing, monitoring and reporting the risks faced by the Bank across FinTech products and partners. The Credit and Financial Risk analyst will be responsible for the ongoing monitoring of the BaaS & Cards portfolio of clients, including but not limited to; financial performance, credit policy, monthly performance metrics, net risk exposure to the Bank, reporting to senior management etc. This role will work proactively with cross functional teams in the Bank to determine appropriate risk controls, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the existing credit risk management framework. The candidate must be self-motivated, analytical, results-driven, and be comfortable working with people and partners.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the timely completion of annual and interim credit review processes for all BaaS & Cards clients.
- Perform detailed fundamental financial analysis, leveraging Moody's RiskCalc,for clients and counterparties.
- Assist in the preparation of credit memorandums assessing the financial strength of clients and the overall performance of their portfolio.
- Collaborate closely with enterprise stakeholders in other functional areas that are involved in the onboarding due diligence processes, to deliver best in class customer experience.
- Monitor and identify new and emerging risks in the BaaS and Card portfolio that materially the Bank's risk tolerance and escalate accordingly.
- Responsible for reviewing Client partner ACH limit requirements and activity on an ongoing basis, ensuring appropriate ACH limits are approved and implemented.
- Prepare presentation material and participate in risk related meetings as needed, providing input and guidance to internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate risk management.
- Participate, and lead when needed, on monthly calls with clients reviewing credit policies, financial and operational performance.
- Assist in developing and improving the Bank credit risk framework by reviewing and updating new or existing policies and procedures.
- Contribute to Company risk culture by working with a high degree of integrity and adhering to Company policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors' degree in finance, accounting, economics or related major.
- 1-3 years of experience in performing credit analysis in the financial services industry.
- Experience managing annual and interim credit review cycles for clients.
- Experience preparing and presenting clear concise actionable credit memorandums.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and the ability to understand the story behind the numbers.
- Microsoft Office (SharePoint/MS Dynamics) | Moody's RiskCalc | Atlassian (Jira/Confluence.
- Programing skills is a bonus (SQL/Python).
- Product knowledge of unsecured lending and cards issuing programs is a plus.

Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00
