About the Job
The primary role of the Azure Cloud Engineer is to lead the deployment, configuration and automation of Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions. A competent professional with over 7+ years of rich experience in compute infrastructure management and Microsoft Azure cloud. Hands on experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Services. Deployment, configuration, documentation, testing, and production support. The Azure Engineer will be involved with planning, designing, and transforming from on-premises to cloud-based applications.
Experience with:
*Delivering Microsoft Azure Cloud Services (IaaS & PaaS).
*Deployment, configuration, and maintaining Compute on Azure Cloud.
*Development and implementation of new processes and documentation of it.
*Deployment and configuration of the following platform services in Azure: App services, Web app, Function App, Logic App, API management, vnets, subnets, NSGs, firewalls, load balancers, Service and Private end points, Storage accounts, Azure monitor, Log Analytics workspaces, Azure AD SSO, MFA & RBAC Roles.
*Working knowledge of Service Bus, Azure Site Recovery, Azure Migrate, Azure Automation, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Container Instances, Azure SQL and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
*Developing cloud automation tailored to customer’s needs.
*Creation and deployment of Azure Resource Manager Templates and Bicep
*Operations with primary duties that include systems management and provisioning front-line handling of product, system, and application alerts, troubleshooting, capacity planning, dashboarding and performance optimization
*High-level designs, technology assessment, technical architecture review, staff & resources, implementation/deployment schedules, disaster recovery, business continuity planning
*Creating and maintaining standard operating procedures to be followed in operations, including the escalation of reported issues
*Developing tools and processes to automate manual procedures and increase efficiency
*Build out of systems and platforms to support scaling of existing environments, new applications, and initiatives, leveraging existing and new automation frameworks
*Overseeing continuous improvement and optimization of monitoring and analytics systems
*Leading teams and cross-team meetings
*Experience with API Security, Container Security, Azure Cloud Security.
*Ensuring adherence to production change control policies, identifying opportunities for process improvement and overall efficiency
*Ensuring infrastructure technology projects incorporate appropriate planning, technical analysis, budgets, and resource management to meet deadlines and objectives
Job Requirements
*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field, or commensurate real-world experience or 8-10 years' experience managing virtualization across full compute stack
*Previous experience or familiarity with the following technologies: VMWare, Hyper-V, Windows Server, Linux, Cisco, IIS, SQL, SAN Storage, Microsoft System Center, LAN/WAN, SDWAN and Fortinet firewalls
*Must have proven experience aiding customers with Cloud Enablement
*Must have hands on experience with the Azure GUI, Azure CLI, PowerShell and ARM and Bicep Templates
*Strong Presentation, documentation & analysis skills
*Team Player with proven leadership, communication, organizational, and strong interpersonal skills
*Microsoft Azure Certifications are a plus: AZ900. AZ303, AZ304, AZ104.
*ITIL Certifications are a plus
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Preferred candidates will also have experience with:
*Creating and maintaining fully automated CI/CD pipelines for code deployment
*Deployment of infrastructure with Terraform modules/templates
*Architecting Azure Infrastructure environments
*Calculating Total Cost of Ownership and future Capacity Planning
