Title: Azure Data Architect/Engineer
Location: 100% Remote
Description:
The Azure Data Architect/Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-level data solutions within Microsoft Azure environments. This role requires a highly skilled professional who can lead data architecture discussions, build end-to-end data pipelines, and ensure scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions. This position is ideal for someone passionate about solving complex data challenges and delivering impactful solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Build and manage data services within Microsoft Azure.
Design, analyze, and document data flows, integrations, and transformations.
Develop enterprise data models to ensure data integrity and scalability.
Oversee and lead discussions on data model design across departments and teams.
Build end-to-end data pipelines using modern architectures and best practices.
Define and implement DataOps standards and testing frameworks.
Apply best practices for cloud-based data security.
Utilize resource provisioning tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM).
Employ scripting tools like Azure CLI, PowerShell, Bash, Python, and SED/AWK.
Work with source code management and build/release tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Jenkins.
Communicate technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills:
5+ years of experience working with data services in Microsoft Azure.
Significant experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Synapse, or similar technologies.
Strong understanding of data quality, governance, and performance optimization.
Expertise in modern software engineering and DevOps practices.
Experience in agile software environments.
Desired Skills:
Proficiency with Medallion architecture and engineering best practices.
Familiarity with modern source code management and SaaS-based services like GitHub or GitLab.
Strong scripting and automation capabilities.
Excellent communication skills for presenting technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Pay range: $144200-206000/year
