An Azure Cloud Engineer specializes in designing, building, and maintaining cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure. They play a pivotal role in leveraging Azure’s full capabilities to meet business needs efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and Implement Cloud Solutions:
- Collaborate with development teams, infrastructure teams, infosec team, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into Azure-based solutions.
- Architect, design, and deploy cost-efficient cloud infrastructure, applications, and services.
- Ensure scalability, security, and integration with existing systems.
- Regularly review existing systems and making recommendations for improvements.
- Create and maintain data pipelines, data storage solutions, data processing, and data integration.
- Enable data-driven decision-making within the organization.
- Monitor and manage Azure resources, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Perform regular updates, patches, backups and maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud services.
- Implement security best practices for Azure resources.
Ensure compliance with business security policies, industry standards and regulations. - Manage access controls and permissions for infrastructure
- Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
- Evaluate and identify optimal solutions for cloud-related initiatives.
- Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies.
- Evaluate existing applications and determine their viability for migration to Azure.
- Plan and execute the migration of legacy systems to Cloud centric services.
- Optimize and modernize applications for the cloud.
- Minimum 4 years of PublicCloud Infrastructure experience in Azure.
- Government-Cloud a plus.
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Powershell, etc).
- Familiarity with Azure services and tools.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in both writing and speech.
- Ability to problem-solve and think critically.
- Experience with CI/CD systems.
- Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
