Job Summary and Qualifications
The AVP, Strategic Analytics will be responsible for overseeing the analytics team and developing a vision for how to advanced analytics and business intelligence within the Capital Division in the future. In this role, the AVP will develop processes, tools and the team necessary to identify performance & trends within HCA and across the markets served by Capital Division. The strategic analytics team will be expected to support identification and prioritization of growth opportunities. They will collaborate with all key stakeholders in the Capital Division. The AVP and their team, in collaboration with the SVP Strategy & Development, will be responsible for developing the analytics platform and related business intelligence tools which will serve as the primary source of growth analytics for Division stakeholders and Facility leadership. The AVP will work collaboratively with Service Lines, Development and Finance leaders to meet analytics needs across the Division. The AVP should have meaningful career experience with systems, SQL, tool development, complex market analyses & data sets, business intelligence tools including PowerBI and a track record of identification and execution of solutions that serve various customers. They will be expected to represent the HCA Healthcare Capital Division independently and effectively with senior-level executives both internal and external to HCA Healthcare. They will have exposure to growth and professional development with leadership at many levels within HCA Healthcare and access to a robust strategy & analytics peer group across the HCA Healthcare enterprise. In addition to Capital Division-focused duties outlined above, up to 25% of the AVP’s time may be allocated to supporting HCA Enterprise projects. These projects will include, but aren’t limited to, business intelligence development on products with an Enterprise focus, developing analytics infrastructure that may be leveraged by other Divisions, and creation of self-service analytics products that will serve to democratize data within the organization. The AVP will be asked to consider Capital Division as a proof of concept in development of these tools and infrastructure that may be leveraged and scaled across the Enterprise. In this capacity the AVP will have substantial exposure to HCA Healthcare Enterprise analytics leadership, talent & resources thereby providing additional professional development opportunities. The AVP will be expected to represent the Capital Division well on these projects.

- Ability to present and explain information to audiences of varying sophistication in a concise, effective manner, especially in PowerPoint
