AVP Senior Data Engineer (ACE American Insurance Company (Chubb)) (Philadelphia, PA): Lead the creation of a data governance framework and advocate for its adoption, champion data optimization initiatives; Identify and build strategic partnerships with key stakeholders to drive data-driven decision making; Lead technical architecture and implementation of MLOps, ensuring efficiency at scale while adopting emerging trends and technologies; Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to integrate models into existing infrastructure; Build and lead a high-performing team of data engineers, providing mentorship, guidance and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement, including championing CI initiatives; Develop and execute a data and AI roadmap aligned with the organization’s objectives; Conduct requirements gathering, designing and building effective solutions; Use data wrangling techniques to convert data from one form into another, including data visualization, aggregation, and training statistical models; Work with various data sources targeting Azure based SQL Data Warehouse and Cosmos DB repositories; and Design solutions for managing highly complex business rules within the Azure ecosystem. Must have experience with the following in order to complete the above-mentioned tasks: Knowledge of Azure, Kubernetes, Container Registry, APIM, Active and Azure Monitor; Extensive experience building data pipelines and workflows in Databricks; Knowledge of Vector and Graph databases; Expertise in agile python software development; Knowledge of Azure, Hadooop 2.0 ecosystems, HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, sqoop, Mahout, Spark; Experience with Avro, Cassandra, Chukwa, HBase, Hive, Mahout, Pig, Spark, Tez, ZooKeeper; Experience with Web Scraping frameworks; Experience with Data APIs including RESTful endpoints or SOAP; Programming experience with Java, R and Python on Linux; Knowledge of commercial distribution such as HortonWorks, Cloudera, MapR; Knowledge of relational databases, MySQL, Oracle; Experience with Complex Data Parsing on XML JSON and other custom data parsing formats; and Experience leading and managing high-performing data engineering teams. Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science or closely-related field and at least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer in Big Data Technologies or related occupation.
