AVP/Senior Auditor - Kearny Bank

About the Job
With minimal supervision, performs various audits across the Bank that includes but is not limited to organizational, regulatory and financial activities; communicates that information in a timely and accurate manner to Department and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Under limited supervision, analyzes and tests internal controls, business processes and systems, operations and financial reports and compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
- Identifies business objectives and risk factors; completes risk assessment documentation and recommend updates to internal audit programs.
- Maintain corporate policies and procedures; utilizes standard business and audit software tools for planning, analysis, communication, presentation and documentation. (AuditBoard and Microsoft).
- Communicate internal audit objectives and results with employees at all levels; summarize audit findings and prepare audit reports.
- Make recommendations for improvements in controls and procedures; supports business process improvement and re-engineering efforts.
- Support and complete SOX testing efforts
- Maintain adequate knowledge of accounting and auditing standards, information technology, and regulatory compliance to ensure work is performed efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience required.
- MS Office proficiency required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Acute attention to detail.
- Ability to work on projects with general direction and minimal guidance.
- Strong accounting skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position is currently Hybrid, requiring 3 days onsite.
