Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Participates in the development and implementation of the strategic plan for the hospital and corporate finance, aligned with the strategic plan for the medical center.
- Determines opportunities to improve customer interactions to internal and external customers.
- Works in partnership with all disciplines to create synergy with overall activities to achieve the Client mission and vision.
- Contributes to divisional and organizational initiatives that achieve cost-reduction and revenue-enhancement.
- Maintains a broad knowledge of financial management strategies to optimize corporate finance operations.
- Contributes to the overall tax strategy of the organization.
- Responsible for all financial, general accounting, and taxation related to new joint ventures, and new organizations formed on behalf of Client.

- Provides vision, direction and leadership to all functions reporting to this position.

- Acts as a change agent and manages organizational change efforts to ensure operational effectiveness.
- Accountable to and drives performance improvement across various areas.
- Operational Leadership:
- Oversees the completion of designated financial reports, assignments and initiatives to ensure accuracy, consistency and timeliness within area of responsibility.
- Leads continuous improvement initiatives by observing effectiveness of accounting and reporting processes, identifying issues, recommending solutions, and providing senior management with feedback to support efficiency and accuracy of accounting and reporting operations and ensure team alignment with business goals.
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders by providing vision around accounting and reporting processes, communicating with senior-level peers, and developing long-term financial strategies.
- Demonstrates confidence in interacting with the executive management, physician leaders, and all levels of personnel within the finance, information systems, and strategic planning functions of the Medical Center.
- Assists with building, developing, and managing special projects by centralizing data and collaborating with internal stakeholders to streamline accounting and reporting functions and efficiencies.
- Acts as a point of contact within area of responsibility by assisting with audit requirements, prioritizing tasks, and escalating complex inquiries to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely delivery of data.
- Manages a performance enhancement culture by actively coaching and mentoring direct reports, providing regular feedback, and developing employees for wider roles and responsibilities to foster professional growth and development.
- People Leadership:
- Provides Financial Management Leadership.
- Develops the financial skills of the directors and other staff with regard to professional development and ongoing financial management.
- Drives financial performance through the use of financial and management systems.
- Provides supervision and mentoring for the staff members in the department.
- Cultivates a culture that promotes and rewards professional growth, interdisciplinary collaboration, constructive communication, flexibility, teamwork, and customer service.
- Maintains consistency in the employee performance appraisal process utilizing established standards of practice.
- Maintains a focus on internal talent management and retention.
- Functional Leadership:
- Promotes Client programs both internally and externally.
- Participates in educational programs.
- Provides opportunities for staff development.
- Takes an active role in the integration of operations between all financial disciplines, Budget and Planning, Treasury, Revenue Cycle and Internal Audit, in addition to Client system integration efforts.
- Cultural Leadership:
- Models the mission vision and values of Client.
- Consistently displays and holds others accountable for displaying the ICARE, I Connect service behaviors.
- Displays a commitment to the development of a culture of inclusion throughout all aspects of Corporate Finance.
- Other Information.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business.
- Ten or more years of hospital / healthcare finance and accounting experience.
- Seven to ten years of progressively increasing management experience.
- Multiple site and multiple entity experience.
- Certified Public Accountant designation inclusive of public accounting experience.
- Analytical ability.
- Strong communication skills and leadership presence.
- Advanced information systems and computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access).
- Ability to interact effectively with others in difficult situations.
- The ability to check documents for errors, use a keyboard to enter or retrieve data, and closely examine reports.
Preferred Experience:
- MBA, preferred.
- Accountable Care Organization Experience.
- Both Taxable and Non-taxable entity experience.
Pay Rate: $75 - $100 / hour
