Direct 12 person accounting for Major Insurance Company Specialized Activities of Department:Departments Activities: *** Daily, monthly, & quarterly general ledger entries and preparation of quarterly & annual statutory financial statements. *** Recording and reviewing underwriting results for premium and losses. *** Monthly & quarterly general ledger account reconciliations; quarterly and annual statutory financial statements (yellow-book); year end statutory audited financial statements; quarterly statutory financial statement analytics; and similar. *** Responding to inquiries from State insurance departments and regulatory agencies. *** Ensuring Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) compliance. *** Assisting with Insurance Department State examinations. *** Identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement.
