We are currently seeking a highly skilled Avionics Technician to ensure the safety, functionality, and reliability of our corporate jet fleet. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide array of advanced avionics systems and electrical components. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Avionics Technician to ensure the safety, functionality, and reliability of our corporate jet fleet. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide array of advanced avionics systems and electrical components. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of avionics systems, have exceptional problem-solving skills, and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Location: Tampa, Florida (KTPA)
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft electrical systems, including communication, navigation, flight control, and other avionics equipment.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals to perform detailed repairs and diagnostics.
- Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to resolve complex avionics issues, ensuring the highest level of safety and performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all maintenance is performed efficiently.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities, including maintenance tracking and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Ensure all work adheres to Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and company standards, maintaining a culture of safety, precision, and excellence.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to best practices for safety and efficiency.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and after-hours, to meet the needs of the operation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge of FAR 135 regulations and their application in the maintenance and operation of corporate aircraft.
- Experience with aircraft electrical and avionics systems, including troubleshooting, repair, and installation of components.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with experience maintaining and tracking maintenance records.
- Direct experience working on 500 series Cessna, Hawker aircraft, PC-12s, Falcon 2000s, and Falcon 50s, as well as familiarity with other corporate jets.
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and system schematics.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a focus on precision and safety.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate from an FAA-approved program is a plus.
- Proficiency with aircraft maintenance tracking systems such as CMP, CAMP, or similar.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, maintaining a high level of productivity and quality.
- Expertise in Honeywell avionics systems is a plus, as well as familiarity with other leading avionics equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering the highest standard of work.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and external vendors, ensuring collaboration and efficiency in all tasks.
