Avionics Place is a family-owned business that has successfully operated in the aviation industry for over 30 consecutive years. It is an FAA-certified Part 145 Repair Station located at the Chicago Rockford International Airport (RFD).
We're seeking an experienced (3 years) and dedicated Avionics Technician to join our Rockford team! In this role, you'll work closely with a supportive supervisor to complete assigned tasks according to company standards, industry regulations, and manufacturer specifications as outlined in approved technical publications.

Compensation:
CONUS $30-$40/hr.
SUMMARY: The Avionics Technician services, troubleshoots, repairs, modifies, maintains, and installs aircraft avionics and components following policies, procedures, requirements, and specifications established by the employer, aircraft manufacturers, and FAA as contained in approved maintenance manuals.
Requirements:
- Strong avionics background
- Sheetmetal capabilities
- Working knowledge of FAA regulations
- Good computer skills and ability to download and upload aircraft files as required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe.
- Ability to understand and interpret aircraft technical data.
- Effective communication in English - oral and written.
- Successfully work with others as part of a team to achieve established goals.
- Meet the minimum tool requirements for a technician.
Licenses / Certifications:
- Valid, current Airframe and Powerplant license
- Valid Driver's License
- Valid Passport without restrictions (Preferred)
Experience:
- Aircraft Maintenance: 3 years (Preferred)
- Knowledge/ Experience with the following Aircraft/ Systems:
- Garmin
- Avidyne
- Bendix King
- S-Tec
