Job Details
This role involves upgrading and installing equipment to meet FAA standards and customer specifications, as well as performing various tasks within the Maintenance Department as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and assess existing avionics equipment.
Recommend and implement upgrades and modifications.
Analyze the compatibility and suitability of electronic devices.
Service and maintain electronic components.
Conduct quality checks on completed work.
Troubleshoot electronic issues.
Monitor supplies and materials to prevent shortages.
Assist customers in selecting peripherals and monitoring devices.
Coordinate repair and modification activities with the Avionics Installer.
Respond to weekend service calls within 20 minutes (weekend duties are scheduled on a rotational basis).
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of Repair Station Manual, Federal Aviation Regulations, Airworthiness Directives, Advisory Circulars, and manufacturer’s service bulletins.
Strong understanding of electronic circuitry and ability to read and interpret electronic diagrams and drawings.
Skills and Attributes:
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage projects with minimal supervision.
Keen attention to detail.
Good organizational skills and ability to work well with colleagues.
