Avionics Manufacturing Engineering
- Develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing production processes to ensure cost effective and safe assembly, test, and inspection of avionics products
- Assess, address, and validate tool and equipment needs to facilitate safe, timely, and cost-effective production
- Coordinate design, procurement and implementation of tooling and support equipment, executing to established budgets and timelines
- Communicates with direct team, supervisor, engineers, and other management
- Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status and research
- Establishes and successfully executes approved new technology, continuous improvement, and cost-out projects
- Drive productivity and product quality improvements via process changes
- Participate in bid & proposal activity, including development of non-recurring engineering and recurring product cost estimates
- Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) activity to ensure product producibility and testability upon entry into service
- Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline, experience, and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy
- Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions
- Uses judgment and ability to propose solutions outside of set parameters to address complicated manufacturing processes which may include technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles
