The Avionics Manager is a hands-on Manager leading a team of 2-3 technicians. He/she will be responsible for fostering good business relationships with suppliers and customers in the area to maintain business as well as gain new business. This role is responsible for recommending and quoting avionics packages and system upgrades to aircraft owner/operators. General duties include (but are not limited to):

•This role is responsible for recommending and quoting avionics packages and system upgrades to aircraft owner/operators
•Supervise team while working alongside to complete work, evaluate and train Avionics Techs of all tenure
•Promote a culture of safety by monitoring self and others to assure all duties are preformed within the guidelines as specified by the company
•Perform installation and maintenance of aircraft avionics components and electrical systems components, such as, airborne navigation/communication systems, weather radar, autopilot, compass systems, in GA and Piston aircraft
•Complete all checklists, forms and reports as required in accordance with the company, government, and FAA regulations and guidelines
•Coordinate with Director of Maintenance and prioritizes their own and employees’ workload/flow appropriately to ensure on time scheduling to meet company and customer expectations
•Maintain and track budgets as set by the General Manager, provide feedback regarding job status and operations
Job Type: Full-time, Monday- Friday 8AM-5PM
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prefer 5 years of Avionics experience with GA/Corporate aircraft
• 5 years of experience in a Lead/Supervisor/Manager role within Aviation
• FCC General Repairman’s License preferred, A&P License a plus
• Knowledge of aircraft component repair and avionics, electronic and electrical test equipment
• Knowledge of U.S. Government regulations for federal contractors and FAA maintenance programs
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
• Demonstrates excellent verbal, written communication, and customer service skills
• Strong initiative, execution, and organizational skills
