About the Job
The candidate shall provide support for the development, procurement, sustainment and modification of aircraft avionics/electrical/structural sub-systems, components and equipment.
Essential Job Functions:
The candidate shall provide systems engineering expertise in avionics, electrical, and structural design and integration, manufacturing, quality and industrial engineering, airworthiness, and configuration and data management.
The candidate shall have a thorough knowledge of three-dimentional (3D) Computer Aided Design (CAD) modeling processes and specifications, and an in-depth understanding of the use of Siemens NX, PixEdit, and other modeling software to create, modify, and validate models to the aircraft specifications. The candidate shall also know how to navigate and use JEDMICS and Siemens Team Center database applications.
The candidate shall support the development and maintenance of critical avionics, electrical, and structural systems engineering documentation including but not limited to specifications, system requirements documents, and systems engineering plans.
The candidate shall also support the translation of requirements into weapon system contractor documents and procedures to ensure the robust application of systems engineering processes across all program development, production, and sustainment tasks.
The candidate shall provide technical expertise on all aspects of avionics integrity and airworthiness.
The candidate shall also be knowledgeable in requirements prescribed in the current version of MIL-HDBK-516 Airworthiness Certification Criteria to assist in providing support for requirements compliance assessment in the areas of avionics, electrical, electromagnetic environmental effects, material processes and standards, and structural dynamics.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
An ABET-accredited Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 12 years experience or 8 years with Masters in Electrical Engineering; includes 6 years of dedicated solid 3-D CAD modeling experience.
Requires an active Secret security clearance.
Aircraft Electrical Wiring Diagram experience required.
Good working knowledge of electrical schematic diagrams, interconnection diagram, wiring diagrams, and harness layouts.
Basic knowledge of harness production.
For CAD tools, experience with Mentor Capital or similar electrical design tools.
Siemens NX 3D modeling experience or similar 3D solid modeling experience, TeamCenter experience or similar PLM tool experience.
Knowledge of electrical standards, design background experience.
