Job Details:
Contract Length: 12 months (opportunity for extension)

Summary:
Provides technical expertise in testing, troubleshooting, and repairing aircraft systems to minimize schedule impact, ensuring safety and quality while meeting deadlines.
May fill in for Senior Avionics/Electrical Technician to enforce company goals.
Demonstrates expertise in avionics systems operational testing and troubleshooting.
Installs and tests electrical/avionics components and systems per engineering specifications, ensuring defect-free performance.
Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctioning systems, ensuring efficiency and quality.
Repairs or replaces defective components and wiring using techniques like splicing, soldering, and pinning.
Complies with engineering changes and modifications.
Sets up and operates test equipment for functional and operational tests.
Ensures proper documentation of work for inspection readiness.
Maintains test equipment, electronic systems, and components.
Complies with FOD, tool control, 5-S, and safety programs.
Adapts to schedule changes.
Support aircraft certification and testing, including flight tests.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
High School Diploma or GED required.
4 years of experience in avionics/electrical field or 2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics plus 2 years related experience.
A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred.
FCC and NCATT certifications preferred.
Proficiency in troubleshooting additional aircraft systems (e.g., hydraulics, landing gear, flight controls) preferred.
Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to climb stairs, work in confined areas, and lift up to 50 pounds.
