Job Details:
Contract Length: 12 months (opportunity for extension)

Summary:
Provides technical expertise in testing, troubleshooting, and repairing aircraft systems to minimize schedule impact. Implements process changes to reduce costs and maintain safety and quality standards.
May fill in for the Senior Avionics/Electrical Technician as needed.
Test and troubleshoot avionics and aircraft systems.
Install, test, and troubleshoot electrical/avionics components per engineering specifications, ensuring defect-free systems.
Perform repairs and replacement of defective components and wiring using techniques such as splicing, soldering, and pinning.
Operate test equipment for performance evaluations, ensuring compliance with documentation and inspections.
Maintain compliance with engineering changes, safety programs (FOD, tool control, 5-S), and quality standards.
Adapt to schedule changes as needed.
May assist with aircraft certification and flight tests.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
High School Diploma or GED required.
4 years in avionics/electrical or 2 years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics plus 2 years related experience.
A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license, FCC, and NCATT preferred.
Preferred proficiency in troubleshooting non-avionics systems (e.g., hydraulics, landing gear).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to climb stairs, work in confined areas, and lift up to 50 pounds.
